Iron Supplement Injection
COMPOSITION:
Each 1 ml contains:
Iron Dextran………..200 mg
Vitamin B12…………0.2 mg
Sterile water for injection….1 ml
INDICATIONS:
• Indicated for prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia, hemorrhages, and other blood-related issues, especially in non-human animals. Vitamin B12 supplementation is particularly recommended during the red blood cell formation process in piglets.
• Animal species: Cattle, buffalo, horses, pigs.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE:
Administer by intramuscular injection.
• Cattle, buffalo: 2.5-5.0 ml.
• Calves, young buffaloes: 2.0-6.0 ml.
• Piglets: 0.75 – 1.0 ml when 3 days old, or 0.5 ml when 3 days old, followed by 0.5 ml one week after the first injection.
• Dogs: 0.5 – 1.0 ml.
