INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF PORVAC® VACCINE
1. Description:
PORVAC® is an inactivated oil-emulsion subunit vaccine containing the E2 protein of the Classical Swine Fever virus. This protein is conjugated with an immune system stimulant molecule (CD154) that triggers a cellular immune response within the first few days after vaccination.
2. Ingredients:
Each dose of the vaccine contains 50 µg of E2-CD154 antigen and the oil adjuvant Montanide ISA 50 V2.
3. Uses:
Provides active immunity against Classical Swine Fever. Immune response begins 5 days after vaccination and lasts for 12 months.
4. Dosage and Administration:
Administer intramuscularly behind the ear.
Dosage:
– Piglets: Inject 1 ml starting from 15 days of age. A second dose may be administered after 2 weeks in high-risk areas.
– Sows and Boars: For the initial vaccination, inject 2 ml per animal, with a second dose 3 weeks later. Revaccinate annually.
5. Precautions:
Shake well before use.
Use immediately after opening and follow the veterinarian’s recommendations.
6. Packaging:
30 ml vial.
7. Storage:
Store at 2–8°C. DO NOT FREEZE.
