Instructions for Use of Enrofloxacin Oral Solution

Characteristics: This product is nearly colorless to a pale yellow transparent liquid.

Main Ingredient: enrofloxacin

Drug Interactions:

1) This product has a synergistic effect with aminoglycosides or broad-spectrum penicillin.

2) Heavy metal ions such as Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe3+, and Al3+ can bind to this product and affect absorption.

3) When combined with theophylline and caffeine, the plasma protein binding rate may decrease, leading to abnormal blood concentrations of theophylline and caffeine, and even theophylline toxicity symptoms.

4) This product inhibits liver enzymes, which can reduce the clearance rate of drugs primarily metabolized in the liver and increase blood drug concentrations.

Indications:

Fluoroquinolone antibiotic, used for bacterial diseases in chickens and mycoplasma infections.

Dosage and Administration:

Mix with drinking water, 0.25 – 0.375 ml per 1L of water for poultry.

Side Effects:

  1. Cartilage degeneration in young animals affecting bone development, leading to adhesion and pain.
  2. Gastrointestinal reactions manifested by anorexia and diarrhea.

Precautions: Prohibited during the egg-laying period.

Withdrawal Period: poultry: 8 days.
