5% FLUNIXIN MEGLUMINE INJECTION
Anti-inflammatory
INGREDIENTS:
Each 100 ml contains:
Flunixin Meglumine: 5 g
Sterile water to 100 ml
USES:
• Cattle: For the treatment of acute respiratory tract inflammation, in combination with appropriate antibiotics to reduce clinical signs.
• Horses: For pain and inflammation relief associated with musculoskeletal disorders, particularly during the acute phase to alleviate pain and to treat colic symptoms.
• Pigs: Used in conjunction with appropriate antibiotics for the treatment of mastitis, metritis, and agalactia.
• Species: Cattle, horses, and pigs.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
• Cattle and horses: Intravenous injection.
• Pigs: Intramuscular injection.
• Cattle: 2.2 mg flunixin/kg body weight/day (equivalent to 2 ml of the drug/45 kg body weight), administered intravenously and repeated if necessary within a 24-hour period, for up to a maximum of 3 consecutive days.
• Horses: 1.1 mg flunixin/kg body weight/day (equivalent to 1 ml of the drug/45 kg body weight), administered intravenously within a 24-hour period, for 5 consecutive days.
• Pigs: 2.2 mg flunixin/kg body weight/day (equivalent to 2 ml of the drug/45 kg body weight), administered intramuscularly within a 12-hour period, in combination with antibiotic therapy. To reduce local irritation at the injection site, the injection volume should be limited to 5 ml per site.
